Tattoo artist Amy Orchard has a one-of-a-kind style that combines colour work with Blackwork techniques. Intricate dotwork and whipshading give her blackwork its distinctive texture, while her colour work is characterised by a mesmerising palette of subdued jewel tones. Nature, animals, the supernatural, folk patterns, floral motifs, and mysterious woman faces are some of her favourite subjects to depict in her artwork.

After Amy’s successful undergraduate years in art and design, she embarked on her artistic adventure. Despite her early ventures into other fields, tattooing proved to be her life’s work. She joined Artium in 2023 after having spent five years in Devon perfecting her craft. 

She draws ideas from a wide range of sources, including nature, folklore, fantasy, and historical art movements like the Renaissance and art nouveau. With a diverse selection of pre-drawn designs to suit varied tastes as well as custom work, Amy handles bookings through Instagram and email.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys drawing and painting, playing animal crossing, watching historical dramas, and going on outdoor adventures, such as mushroom hunts. Seeing an increase in clients self-esteem and giving meaningful experiences are echoed in her client testimonies regarding the tattoos she has done.

Amy made her convention debut in 2023 and hopes to continue doing guest spots and attending tattoo conventions in the future. She also wants to do more large-scale pieces that complement the human body.
